GOALS - Consistancy
Well here you have it, at least this is what they say when you receive one of those "Pre approved" credit card or refinance thingy s in the mail. Some will make the inquiry, only to find out that they are in fact not approved and their credit record is not high enough to qualify them for a loan or a credit card. What makes a good credit score? Time and consistency. Personally speaking, I one time found myself owing a hefty amount of money to a identity that is most of the time non forgiving. Through some formalities and total transparency I established a plan to repay this debt. It would take 6 - 7 years, a lot of interest and a hefty penalty. After I had made the payment for a year, I was forgiven for a percentage of the debt. As I continued to make more payments I was rewarded with more forgiveness of the debt. Combined with payments and forgiveness, this debt was reduced greatly. Also it put me back on track to making consistent payments that rebuilt the credit score. Then the greatest reward was that after refinancing the house the debt was completely paid off. All in 2 and a half years. With hydrolics applied, things move. Hydrolics could be time, pressure and determination. With our ability to visualize and then put into action the vision, it would seem all to foolish to at least not try something. Just something. Even if it doesn't seem to be perfect. After the ball is rolling, we then can begin to establish its route and destination.

04-01-2011 GOALS - A quick look at the future
In my personal quest to understand and experience the benefits of change, I have taken a few short cuts. Many can testify to this, I'm sure. Simply, we jump on someones idea and as a group or class, we follow and take the prescribed medicine or advice. If we have never done anything like this, or there is a season of time between attempts, we have short term success. After the honeymoon is over, what is our course. What direction does the compass indicate we are headed? Now the last thing I am suggesting is that all is in vain. Not at all. Maybe we have lost some (weight) and we get a glimpse of the new us, and the feedback that accompanies our success. Did you notice I said success. We buy the new smaller sized clothes, and receive positive comments. This really is good stuff, by the way. Now, ask those who are giving you support for your success, how to maintain and insure what you have started, doesn't take a hiatus somewhere and leaves you thinking your not a winner. You are a winner, in that you decided you wanted change. Let me encourage you here. When your in your 20s to 30s you are for the most part taken care of health-wise by youth. As we leave our 30s and begin to think about our 40s we get a little scared and start putting more thought about life and its challenges. When we leave our 40s and get it on in the 50s we wake up. For some its party time all over again, and for others its a tragic realization that scares the crap out of us. The main cause for alarm is because we are not informed. Someone has told us that only a few genetically gifted will enjoy the benefits of cover page attention, and a percentage of others will be the envoy of the other majority. This being said, we have a culture of those that have given up. They seek the companionship of those that don't pose a threat to the condition and thinking of complacency. "In other words, we don't want to be challenged to the point we need to leave our comfort zone. Comfortable is good. It is also deadly. We have no guarantee of tomorrow. This is a given. There is a question that comes up when we contemplate our future. "Is it wrong to plan for a younger tomorrow?" Now I'm not suggesting we go out and buy synthetic change, but that we try to position ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually so that we can push against the stuff that stereotypes us as normal. When we hear that someone is in their late 40s and are entering marathons and lifting 130000 to 20000 lbs of weight in and hour or so, we think that maybe they are freaks. Hey!! They are!! Only because that greater percentage of us has not accepted the fact that it is possible to do this at this age. LOL. Please don't laugh here when I say there are 70 year old people that still think and do stuff that those in their 40s struggle to do. Why? Because they push against and rebel when they are told that at 70 you need to make plans for entering the care home. Personally I know a gentleman of 82 years that still has his own fishing boat and still passes the driver license test. His wife of 58 years of marraige passed away, and now he has told me he seems to be in unknown territory. The idea of a younger wife who will most likely be changing his diapers one of these days, doesn't let him consciously pursue this option. However he has no problem finding someone to pass the time with when he feels lonely, which is a fair amount of the time. As I talked to him and sought the answer to his amazing success at turning back father time, I was drawn to his thinking and proactive attitude toward things that the most of us have not considered to be important. He told me that when he was just a teenager, long before they began to curse animal fat, that he one day saw a skillet full of grease that had hardened, and made the decision that he would never eat from that again. He told me how he made a grill outside of his house and cooked his meats and everything else on it. He told me he ate sweet potatoes for energy. He ate fruit and veggies that were grown in the garden. He never ever mentioned some sort of diet and nutrition organization, just some simple changes he decided many years ago. He told me how he did some exercises each morning and evening every day. He told me how he very rarely drank alcohol, and how much he saw drinking water as way of cleansing his body. As I listened, I almost inserted some of my clinically confirmed ideas, but decided to let him educate me more. He told me about how he would go for walks to work stuff out. After listening for a good amount of time, I was now certain more than ever that I could jump in and experience his youth. The thing that really juiced me was the idea of how much good information we have now in comparison to that which he had when he was younger.
So now what do I want from change? We think of the short term, that's a given. There is the idea of a companion, who we profile as the perfect one. OK, our change will get this for us for certain. What will this be like in 3-5 years from now? Will we still be motivated by our vision of pushing back, or will we find ourselves reverted back to where we were when we embarked on our mission of change. Are we motivated by the thought of more energy? What will we do with it? Will guys have even more libido than they think they have now? Careful guys, that you don't ditch your wife or partner here. A lot of times these little jewels have been waiting patiently for us to take the lead. "If they have taken the lead, follow them. I am not recommending the kind of change where we abandon an other because we feel they will get in the way of our effort to make change. Change is about leading. If we lead, we don't jump ship. Be courageous. Show passion and desire toward change. Don't be selfish. Have a positive response that makes others want to be a part of something better. If we turn them off with a spirit of being self centered, then we are the losers here. Lets make our goals an epidemic. We can energize our friends and demonstrate to our enemies that we are not focused on shortsightedness, but long term success. To do this, we will want to be absolutely confident that the answers we give them will have proof and long term results. This we will achieve by being familiar with the bases and fact of what it is that we need in order to better move forward, and put behind us the myth and mystery of a better life, and have a fuller sense of gratitude for the very fact that we are a living and breathing creature. So, how do we see ourselves one, two, three years form now? How about 3 days from now. Set your goals, but set them for a really short term. Go ahead and visualize longer term stuff, then back it off a bit and enjoy the successes of your short term visions. This is the only way to make change work.

03-31-2011 The List
OK, before we tell you what you are going to need. There needs to be an understanding that a list is not confined to what it details. You may have all kinds of ideas to really get a groove going once you begin. Maybe to have the basics you will use the list, than once you’re off and having fun, you will of course change it. PLEASE DO!! Keep it fun!! We will explain the list in detail after we construct it, that way you can decide quickly what you’re going to use and what not to use.
The first thing on your list needs to be your goal sheet.
1. Measuring Tape - 5.00 http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bbcom/fat-caliper-body-tape-kit.html
2. Body fat calipers – 8.00
3. Scale – 40.00
4. Paper – 5.00
5. Pen or Pencil - .50
6. Nutrition Book – 20.00 or internet
7. Exercise Book – 20.00 or internet
8. Walking Shoes – 40.00
9. A beginner weight set – 50.00
10. Wal – Mart exercise ball - 12.00
11. 20-30 min per day time
12. Food list
13. Fridge storage
14. Vitamins- Multi – 10.00
15. Omega 3 – 5.00
16. Good attitude
17. You
As you can see you really can get started for a lot less than some of the gizmos they try to sell you these days. Go to garage sales, and check Craig’s list for stuff. Amazon sells used books also. Wal-Mart has everything you need in order to get started other than the body fat kit. This is a must. Go and get the stuff and come back when you have it.
03-30-2011 What is fact?
We get the idea more or less that reducing calories removes weight. This is a fact. Now we need to understand that a certain number of calories does not equal fat loss. We can actually reduce body weight and be increasing the fat at the same time!!! This is a fact. You can actually gain weight and burn off fat. This is a fact. You can actually lose weight and gain muscle. This is a fact. How does all this equate? Well, we need to have a plan. All commercial airlines have a flight plan for their $100,000,000.00 dollar aircraft. If they didn’t first of all they would not be given clearance to fly. Second they would not be able to get insurance and then they would go broke really quick. Starting off one would need to establish what they want from their bodies. In order to decide what we want, we need to analyze or at the very least know our bodies’ needs. How active are we? What kinds of things do we want to do in the future? There might be a billion questions here. If our motive is for a quick fix and lots of complements (for a short time) then we really don’t want to sacrifice old habits for new ones. If we don’t want to do the math, then again we shouldn’t look at what macro-nutrients have to do with change either. However and whenever we want change, we will need to make sacrifices. That is a fact.

03-29-2011 The peripheral view.
So why do we want change? There are many things that people change, and for many, for no reason. Hmm, just think how powerful our mind is. We visualize something can be different and without a second thought to the commitment of sacrifice of unfathomable depth one will go to fulfill their desire. From finances to marriages changes are made. The industry of manufacturing has to retool at least once or more every year in order to keep up with this appetite of change that swirls around us as a dream that is never completed. Human nature lusts for something to stimulate this unconscious need for change. Change that is never complete. Change for the perfect Utopian experience of completeness. Phrases like, "If only I could" and "I need to grow", are just a few of the many that we hear and accept as the norm. Accumulation of disposable goods is a disease that cripples the sanity of a clear mind. We cloud our ability for the peripheral view with the desire for change. There is a concentrated focus on what we don't have, and a frenzied rush of whatever source we can find in the immediate to achieve it. Maybe this is what I sense as a detoxing of a greater deterrent. The issue we want to have most clear in our minds is not that of weight loss, but of fat loss. Then paralleling it, the mindset of muscle gain. We want to build a calorie burning furnace, and at the same time we are replacing the space where loose skin would appear, with muscle tissue. Many fear that they will appear as some Super Hero that appears on the cover of a comic book. To achieve that one would need a good dose of steroids and a whole lot of natural genetics that are there already. For the majority a steady and consistent plan will be key in beginning a new life change. There is no new ingenious short cut to obtain good health and nutrition. One just simply steps to the side of the normal path they have been traveling, and gets on the already established path that has existed since the beginning of life its self. While walking the path that we have for so long, we have had some peripheral view of what exists on this new path. Just maybe it was clouded by all the not so good information that exists regarding how we can enjoy and be part of it. Remember what ever we want that is natural and healthy, it probably won't bankrupt us. A small investment of time and a few essentials and we are already headed on a path of change. Lets open our peripheral view to discover the potential that is waiting for each and every one of us. The only look back we want to allow ourselves is the one where we decided that from this minute on we had committed to make change, a change for ever.

03-28-2011 Do we have the facts?
So really what we think we want, and what we do about it is the real question. Do we let others tell us they are the only authentic source of health and nutrition? Do we want a diet or life change? Are we setting a short term time limit? Are we going to diet for an occasion? What will we do WHEN we accomplish our goals? Who will we be? Are we willing to change? Hmmm. Kind of makes us take a second look at this huh?.First of all no one is reading this and second I need to express and record my thoughts about it also. If someone tells us to run out in front of a fast traveling car, and that it won't hit us. Do we believe them? We actually think that they're crazy, right? What if I told you this is exactly what the food industry and the FDA and the medical field have going for them. Oh, I know your going to tell me that one keeps the other accountable. Do they? How can McDonalds keep selling bigger heart attacks without an outcry from the FDA? Did you know that the average person can only utilize 420-460 calories per every 3 hours? OK then lets break it down into macro-nutrients. So if maximum protein utilization is 10 grams per hour, carbohydrates 40 per hour and fat10 grams per hour, what does this tell us? OK, what does a micro meal consist of. Most likely a can of tuna, 1 cup of brown rice and a table spoon of flax seed. You want the facts these are the facts. To lose weight this would all be different. You would have all those cosmetically designed dishes of everything from chocolate strawberries to cheese bread with extra Parmesan cheese. They substitute this for that and tell you to have so many checked squares of protein per day along with the fat and carbohydrate boxes also. No one is laying out your daily every three hour requirements that coordinate with your workout schedule. If you don't have an exercise schedule then forget changing your food habits. The two complement each other. One without the other would be non productive. Our bodies respond to good nutrition and exercise together. Oh, there are benefits to doing one without the other, but why not maximize the benefits by doing both at the same time. When we think of fat loss by reduction in calories, the first thing we do is analyze what we will have to sacrifice or better said temporarily go without. Most of us never entertain the idea that we should move on to a new house (body) but that we are on vacation from the old one. When we get back we will enjoy the new paint job for the short while it lasts. Let me tell you, not for very long. Most who attempt weight loss do just that. There goes the muscle, the ultimate fat burning furnace of all. You can sit and watch TV and burn fat. With muscle that is. One does not have to lift weights a professional body builder would, in order to grow muscle tissue. We may end up eating just a few select foods from each group, and dedicate 30-45 min each day to some exercise program in order to make the best decision of a lifetime. Is it worth it?

Beware of the strike ball.
In baseball you hear the famous, "Steeeeerike - - - -". Now we think that the hitter missed a pitch or that the pitcher threw a good pitch. Did the pitcher fool the batter or was the hitter fooled by the pitcher. Oh, you get it already. The two descriptions in the previous statement both say the same thing, however they are presented in a fashion that suggests two different things unless you take the time to study it more thoroughly. This is how easily we can be duped into a new idea. Pitchers are not in the business of throwing perfect pitches for a hitter to swing at. They very rarely throw the same pitch over and over again. Why? Because a hitter gets smart real quick. He has that sweet zone that if a pitch enters it, it triggers an almost automatic response to swing at the pitch. In the time that he has analyzed that it appears to be entering the zone and the time he takes in swinging at the ball in the zone, the ball can do some really crazy stuff. You see a pitcher is a salesman. He has a car to sell. In this case a baseball. He wants it to be as attractive and hittable as he can make it. He rubs it around in his hand, he spits on it, he puts dirt on it and even rubs it on his glove. He holds it in a variety of grips putting his fingers on and off the threads. The way he has his release and speed are some of the many techniques that he implements in throwing the ball. Are we getting the picture yet. Are we already detoxing the media and hype that we have used to motivate us. Come on!! Let it go. It's funny that I would even mention baseball seeing that it, along with hot dogs and apple pie are on the top three on a list of most favorite things in the United States. Wow they have us right were they want us. There is a ton of money at stake here. What would happen if they declared that apple pie and hot dogs were harmful to us. Don't step on their toes. Big business supports big business. Doctors and those involved with the nutritional facts that we receive in promotion and packaging are not going to tell us the whole truth. Why if they did, the junk would disappear along with the doctors and producers of packaged foods. Thus a bust in the Medical field and all the money associated with it. Processing would cease to exist. People would surround the soup-less soup kitchens for miles. The FDA needs something to keep themselves in business. The same with the police and case workers. They need irresponsible or ignorant people to keep them in business. There are courts that convict and impose penalties from insanity, perversion all the way to civil non-compliance. All of this represents a need that us tax paying folk keep enabling. We have developed or they have done a great job of installing fear and anxiety in our culture.
